His Guitz Influences
2 Days of MC after suffering from a Nasal Infection, partly caused by my medical history of synax, so that explains why i've been unable to recover fully from a "common flu" which i thought it was few weeks back. Anyhow, staying at home for 2 good days has given me more time to do what i wanna do, instead of just wasting my time on admin work back at office.
While surfing through the web these days, i came across this significant offer back at Swee Lee Music Shop:

Notice that they wrote "Limited Period Only" on their website, but if i didnt remember wrongly, this "Limited Period" stretched for almost more than a month already( or they could have forgotten to update their site when it's already over.
Anyhow, this isnt the main issue here. THE point is; This is sucha Gooooood Buy!!! Gosh, i was so tempted to rush down to SweeLee to make the purchase, but I've consulted Justin during lesson time the weeks before, and he was advising me to be more patient and concentrate on improving my techniques before settling on a new guitar. Then again, this offer is too good a deal to miss. Sigh. SGD$699.... The price though expensive at first look, but too enticing to be ignored. Guess i'll be more patient and not make hasty decisions.
Talking about guitars, I guess the types of guitars which i wanna get has to do with my music influences at that time. Take for example the first time when i bought my 1st Electric SG guitar, which was partly influenced when i saw Chino Moreno ( Deftones ) peforming his live gig using the Epiphone SG Guitar.

I thought the SG(devil horns shape-like) design was pretty unique and "naughty" in some sense, unlike the usual Les Paul or Strats designs which other guitarists uses, and of course, for the very fact that SG guitar does have a more "rock" tone to it. However, as this sleek and unique cherry red coloured design was not available around then, i settled for the BLACK Gothic SG instead. Aw well.

And then as I embarked on this guitar-learning journey ahead, listening to more different genres of songs and rock bands, my likings for a guitar changed at the same time. When i first got to know and hear about Led Zeppelin, the all-time favourite Classic Rock band in the 70s, i was pretty much intrigued and inspired by their guitarist, Jimmy Page. I then began to generate interest in classic old school rock solos and stuff, and even the Les Paul designed guitar which Jimmy Page was using.

The next thing was, I began to explore instrumental/progressive rock, and then i got to know more Established guitarists like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci etc, and I've noticed that these guitarists are all using the IBANEZ guitars! One of my favourite guitarists, Joe Satriani, is using his own custom Ibanez JS-1000 for his gigs.

Oh boy, it was only then that I realised i ought to buy an Ibanez guitar the next round, not only for the fact that it's used by famous guitarists, but rather because of its sleek designs on its neck and frets, which allow easier playing for solos and of course, having the whammy bar which allows you to make those "screeching" effect to your notes. Awesome! =)
So much talks about the different guitar types, I think i ought to save up more and improve on my guitar techniques before talking any further. Working hard towards IBANEZ EDR470EX!!! =p.
